Responsibilities:

• Led the project of Data Delivery Automation for the Federal Tax Service of Russia. It's main aim is to exchange automatically data between Federal Tax Service and other government departments plus large commercial companies.
• Participated in gathering requirements from the client. Communicated project plans and progress to key stakeholders and project contributors.
• Decomposed tasks to the project team members. Partnered with them to discuss details and solve problems.
• Created project roadmap. Directed changes to project scope and cost and implemented appropriate change management processes to keep project on track.
• Applied project trackers to deliver project updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implemented Agile methodology. As a manager participated in three daily meetings: with two development teams, managers and with the client.
• Negotiated design of the web applications. The project include 4 different applications.
• Made presentations of the project to the client. Presented software to fulfill government contract.
• Led webinars for the customers to teach how it's easier to work with the system and explain the benefits they could get.
• Participated in process of recruitment and created training plans for new employees.
• Substituted analysts and QA-engineers if they were absent or when it was needed due to other production needs.
• Controlled consistency of documentation of the project.

Team:

Managing a team of 30 employees: Java back-end developers, front-end developers, web designer, business and system analysts, data analysts, QA engineers and QA automation engineer, DevOps engineers, customer support representative.

Key achievements:

• The first version of the project was developed in 6 months and released half year earlier to the special customers (among them: Federal State Statistics Service, Ministry of Economic Development, Sberbank etc).
• Main client was highly satisfied with the results of the project and our company got next contract for developing the system.
• Start project team was 5 specialists, by 2023 built a cross-functional team with up to 30 members.

Responsibilities:

• Led the restructuring of a few departments, reorganized 5 departments/groups into one, implemented new working processes.
• Organized and controlled work of the department with 45 employees.
• The department took participation in over 15 projects of the company.
• Scheduled deadlines for tasks of all projects and controlled quality of the results.
• Made research and analysis of competitive environment. Prepared presentations of concepts of new projects.
• Modernized and optimized old-dated processes and functions in Seldon products by implementing new technologies. Provided suggestions for improvement of Seldon product line.

Team:

Managing a team of 45 employees:

• 20 employees of development team - data processing analysts, computational linguistic analysts, software developers and machine learning engineers;
• 15 specialists of manual data processing - located in city Belebey (Russia, Republic of Bashkortostan);
• 5 translators, specializing in translating documents and product localization - located in different countries, China, Cuba, Belarus, Portugal, Lebanon;
• 5 trainees in computational linguistics - students from Higher School of Economics.

Key projects:

• Extracting information from unstructured data (customer - Sberbank).
• Recognition, enrichment and processing of archival documents (customer - Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Air Traffic Management Corporation of the Russian Federation").
• System for checking prices for goods (customer - The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service).

Responsibilities:

• Reorganized 2 groups, data processing and data analysis, into one due to production needs.
• Quickly learned the specific of sphere of data analysis in the company and built new working processes.
• Fully organized work of the group: recruitment, training, organization and control of work, developing plans, assessment of timing and resources for completing tasks, etc.

• 4 data processing analysts (processing algorithms, SQL stored procedures)
• 2 data analysts (analysis of company's data, making statistical data reports)

Key functionality for Seldon product line:

• Development, improvement and support of processing algorithms for Seldon.Basis - Due Diligence Product.
• Complete elaboration of data flows for tenders analysis systems - Seldon 1.7, Seldon.Pro.
• Implementation of processing for procurement control product - Seldon.Control.

Responsibilities:

• Planned strategy of developing computational linguistics department in the company. Improved technologies and tools that were being used.
• Partnered with team members and with heads of other departments to discuss details of tasks, when it's needed to identify and solve problems.
• Fully organized work of the department: recruitment, training, organization and control of work, developing plans, assessment of timing and resources for completing tasks, etc.
• Implemented Agile methodology as main concept of working processes in department.

Team:

• 4 linguists-analysts
• 1 QA-lexicographer

Key achievements:

• All linguists-analysts were trained to work with databases to improve their work efficiency (previously linguistic specialists did not have access to DBMS). Developed a training plan for new employees, including learning and practicing MS SQL.
• Implemented machine learning technologies for different types of tasks to improve the performance of existing algorithms.
• Organized and implemented research task in a new sphere for the company, creating of an international classifier for EEC customs control.

Responsibilities:

• Developed linguistic rules for algorithms of Natural Language Processing, such as:

- Named entity recognition

- Relationship extraction

- Extraction of quotations and identification the speaker

- Coreference resolution

- Topic segmentation and recognition

- Sentiment analysis

- Spell checker

• Set up tasks for developers (writing technical descriptions).
• Analyzed current existing software and proposed improvements. Optimized data flow with aggregated information about companies from 30 days to 2 days.
• Set up, managed and controlled data flows within department, using SQL.
• Identified and resolved inconsistencies or errors and ensure high data quality.
• Led the small department of manual data processing specialists, who were working remotely. Delegated tasks to them, prepared written instructions, controlled the results of work.
• Monitored new technologies, products and companies in computational linguistics field.

Responsibilities:

• Tested software versions, created bug tickets in Jira, checked the results of fixing. Controlled fix-versions. Tested 5 different projects at a time.
• Created testing checklists. To check data processing algorithms created lists with etalon examples and all the exceptions, rare cases.
• Designed and filled electronic dictionaries.
• Created testing text corpora and test cases for algorithms.
• Analyzed a big scope of information to fill dictionaries, make statistical reports, etc.
• Created analytical reports using SQL. Wrote scripts and jobs to update data in the database.
• Identified and resolved inconsistencies or errors and ensure high data quality.
